This is a life-sized bronze statue of one of the Dray or Heavy Horses that pulled the carts with barrels of beer from the Tetley brewery in Leeds in Yorkshire England to the pubs of the city. The brewery is long been pulled down and in its place in the former Directors office block is a new Museum of Modern Art.
Although the beer is now brewed elsewhere all that remains of the old Brewery the Brewery sign and a few old beer bottles which are in the museum. This horse stands outside in the wind and rain of industrial Leeds as its living companion so often did in its working life.
I have been a travel photographer for the past 30 years selling my work via photo libraries. I would welcome any comments you might wish to make about the choice I have made of images to submit to Fineartamerica. Photography has been my passion for 30 years and I also teach it to pass on my knowledge to the next generation. I get the greatest buzz to think that long after I depart this life, my work may still be earning an income for my great great grandchildren. To me that is a sort of immortality. For free slideshows of some of my trips please see my website at www.brenda-kean.pixels.com, or at https://www.instagram.com/quasarphotos . If you see something you like tell me and I will put it up on Fineartamerica for you to buy PLEASE...
