Downham is a village in Lancashire England that is owned by one man. He owns all the houses except one.He owns the pub and the church. He does not allow TV aeriels,phone masts or any other street furntiture to be displayed with the only exception being a red telephone box for emergencies.His family the Asshetons have owned this village since 1558 and there is a long awaiting list for new tenants. It isvery beautiful and unspoilt and unique. It is near Clitheroe
