Description
May Blossom is another word for the Blossom of the Hawthorn Tree. There is a Dialect saying in the North of England. Ne'er cast a clout til May is out. Which translates to never throw off your winter clothes until the may blossom is out. This means that late winter sunshine is illusary and the days are still very cold, so keep wrapped up until the Hawthorn tree blossoms. Some southern English people think that May is the month of May but it is not so. I have combined the May blossom with quotations to add to the allusion
