Description
This little wild flower pops up and dances in my garden and the surrounding fields every year. It has many names. Ladies Smock, Mayflower, Cuckoo Flower, Milkmaids or Cardamine Pratensis to give its full botanical name. Playwright William Shakespeare mentions it in his Play "Love's Labours Lost". This is the quote where he mentions it. The flower is said to appear at the same time as the Cuckoo Bird starts to call.
